The B/Mc Spray Valve
Designed by Herman Bertolini and manufactured continuously in the USA since 1971. Normally closed, so it will not leak with loss of control pressure. An adjustable opening controls spray pattern and volume, and a grooved inlet gives flexibility in mounting and positioning.
B/Mc is pronounced “bee mack”.
Two models, one valve body
Both models share one valve body and one wet-end rebuild kit. The difference is only how they are actuated.
Pneumatic
The standard valve for trucks with an onboard air system. Randco part 03-001. Formerly the Bertolini 71A-3.
Electric
12VDC or 24VDC for vehicles with no air system. Same body, same wet-end rebuild kit. Randco part 03-013 (12V) or 03-015 (24V). Formerly the Bertolini 71E-3.
Rebuild Kits
Four wear parts, one kit. Fits both models. Randco part 70-064.
Side spray nozzle
The side spray nozzle bolts onto the outlet of a B/Mc spray valve and turns a front or rear spray into a side spray or street flusher. It is a banded clamp with a flat deflector plate, so it fits the same grooved outlet the valve already has — no plumbing changes and no second valve.

Berkeley Pumps
Bertolini supplies Berkeley and Gorman-Rupp pumps alongside the spray valves, so a water truck can be specified from the pump through to the nozzle.
